Davenport Named Principal of Ross N. Robinson Middle School

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Dr. Kristen Davenport has been named Principal of Ross N. Robinson Middle School. 
 
Dr. Davenport has served as assistant principal of Dobyns-Bennett High School since 2023. Her previous administrative experiences include serving as principal and vice principal at Surgoinsville Middle School and assistant principal and Dean of Students at Yulee Middle School (Florida). She has also served as a music specialist in Hawkins County Schools. Dr. Davenport currently serves as an adjunct professor at Tusculum University and Lincoln Memorial University. 
 
“It is a privilege to step into the role of Principal at Robinson Middle School and connect with this amazing community,” said Dr. Davenport. “I am excited to work alongside our dedicated parents and staff to build a joyful, encouraging environment where every student feels inspired to reach their full potential.” 
 
Dr. Davenport holds a Bachelor of Music degree in K-12 Music Education from Carson-Newman University, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Tusculum University, and Education Specialist and Doctor of Education degrees from Lincoln Memorial University.
